It’s overcast, misty rain falling and coating everything that it lands on. I have errands to run but I think that they can wait a little bit longer.
So I find myself relaxing in my chair, with legs propped up, one of my all-time favorite movies, Something to Talk About with Diane Keaton, is playing on the television. I have the blinds raised so that I can look outside.
Out of nowhere I see a shopping cart, overloaded with a mound of various things, slowly gliding across the rooftop of the building next door. I watch it for what seems hours as it comes to a stop on the edge. No one comes to retrieve it and I wait for a stiff breeze to tumble it over the side and crash below…but it never does.
